Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully before using InterpretReflect. By using our service, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using InterpretReflect ("the Service"), operated by HuVia Technologies, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use after such notification constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
2. Description of Service
InterpretReflect provides a professional development platform for sign language interpreters, including:
- •AI-powered assignment preparation and debrief tools (Elya)
- •RID-approved Continuing Education Unit (CEU) workshops
- •Wellness monitoring and professional reflection tools
- •Community features for interpreter networking
- •Agency dashboard for interpreter management (for agency accounts)
3. Account Registration & Eligibility
To use the Service, you must:
- •Be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction
- •Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
- •Maintain the security of your account credentials
- •Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Subscription & Payment
Subscription Plans
We offer various subscription tiers (Free, Growth, Pro) with different features and pricing. Current pricing is available on our pricing page.
Billing
- • Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
- • Payment is processed securely via Stripe
- • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
- • You may cancel at any time through your account settings
Cancellation
All subscriptions are month-to-month and can be cancelled at any time. Upon cancellation, you retain access until the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months.
5. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to:
- ✕Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
- ✕Share account credentials with others or access others' accounts
- ✕Attempt to circumvent security measures or access unauthorized data
- ✕Use the Service for fraudulent CEU claims or false credential representation
- ✕Harass, abuse, or harm other users in the community
- ✕Upload malicious code or interfere with Service operations
- ✕Scrape, copy, or redistribute Service content without permission
- ✕Use the AI features to generate harmful, discriminatory, or illegal content
6. Intellectual Property
Our Property
The Service, including all software, content, design, and trademarks, is owned by HuVia Technologies, LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission.
Your Content
You retain ownership of content you create (notes, reflections, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide the Service.
Feedback
If you provide feedback or suggestions, you grant us the right to use them without compensation or attribution.
7. CEU & RID Compliance
InterpretReflect is an approved RID CMP Sponsor (#2309). By using our CEU features, you agree:
- •To complete all required workshop activities honestly and in good faith
- •That CEU certificates are issued based on verified completion
- •That we may report your completion data to RID as required
- •To our grievance process for any CEU-related disputes (see RID Compliance)
Fraudulent CEU claims may result in account termination and reporting to RID.
8. AI Features (Elya)
Elya is an AI assistant designed to support interpreter professional development. By using Elya, you understand:
- •Elya provides suggestions, not professional advice. Use your professional judgment.
- •Elya is not a substitute for supervision, mentorship, or mental health services.
- •Conversations may be analyzed to improve the service (in anonymized, aggregated form).
- •You should not share Protected Health Information (PHI) or confidential consumer details.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE. YOU USE THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INTERPRETREFLECT, INC. AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR PROFESSIONAL OPPORTUNITIES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HuVia Technologies, LLC and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
12. Termination
By You: You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, you will lose access to the Service and your data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy.
By Us: We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or at our discretion with reasonable notice.
13. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association rules, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property violations.
You waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.
14. Miscellaneous
- •Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us.
- •Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
- •Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right does not constitute a waiver of that right.
- •Assignment: You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them in connection with a merger or acquisition.
